Where We Got Our Inspiration

Country living is where life slows down and draws you closer to nature. Imagine grass between your toes, fresh air, and a Farmhouse inspired by all the beauty around it. Family-friendly interiors, tall windows, natural light, and a covered porch is what country living is all about.

Project Story

Our clients bought a small ranch near New Braunfels to enjoy a country lifestyle while still being within easy reach of the city.

They envisioned their family living in a comfortable Modern Farmhouse, with ample space for their school-aged kids and their visiting grown children.

The kitchen is the heart of the house for this family, so we located the dining table within the room and included a cozy window seat adjacent to the prep areas to bring everyone together.

We maximized the space allotted for the stair hall by loading it with multiple overlapping functions. It serves as a mudroom, side-entry, kitchen office, hallway to the library, and a bedroom suite.

We located the stair hall so that the bottom of the stair leads directly from the kitchen up to the media/game room. The top landing also connects to another bedroom suite.

We placed tall windows on both sides of the family room to maximize views and natural light. The house is one room deep in that area, and the informal entrance opens directly from the front porch.

We designed a detached 2-bedroom guest house with a porch that fronts the pool area to accommodate visiting families.
