Since the inception of Dibello Architects in 2010, Joey has played an integral role in shaping the firm’s design philosophy, which emphasizes a classical approach inspired by the region’s traditional and vernacular architecture. Born and raised in Texas, Joey has a strong connection to the land and its architectural heritage, which deeply influences his work. He is passionate about creating spaces that reflect the natural beauty and cultural identity of the state, ensuring that each project feels thoughtfully integrated with its environment.

As Design Principal, Joey leads the design of all projects at Dibello Architects, with a focus on crafting timeless, functional spaces that offer long-lasting value. His approach is deliberate and thoughtful, with an emphasis on creating buildings that foster a true sense of place. His design drawings are known for their elegance and precision, reflecting not only his architectural expertise but also his artistic insight, which extends beyond the built environment to his love for charcoal and watercolor painting.

Joey is also deeply committed to the growth and development of his team. He values creating an environment where young professionals are mentored and encouraged to reach their full potential. By fostering a supportive, collaborative atmosphere, Joey ensures that each team member has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, both personally and professionally.

Joey holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas-San Antonio, College of Architecture, graduating with honors. Beyond his professional work, he loves Jesus, spending time with his family, and ribeye steaks. He is married with a daughter and son and brings his strong family values and deep appreciation for his community into everything he does.
