Laura believes that architecture should be linked to its place by being a representation of culture, being rooted in the landscape, and responding with responsibility to the natural environment.

In her role as Job Captain, she is responsible for design development, construction drawings, and construction administration on several projects simultaneously.

Laura has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Pontificia Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia, where she intensively studied Colombian vernacular architecture and restoration & adaptive use of Spanish Colonial buildings.

Her work experience includes design and documentation of residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects in Colombia, as well as vernacular residential architecture in the Texas Hill Country.

When Laura is not in the office you can find her outdoors with her husband Billy either working in their vegetable garden, hiking, camping or biking. She also enjoys reading, cooking plant-based foods and making charcoal drawings.
